Two decades ago my life changed for the better through involvement in remote offroad travel.  For this I thank my great Alice Springs based friend Jol Fleming who, despite adult life as a quadriplegic, maximised his remaining physical and incredible mental abilities to conduct 4wd tagalong tours and Direct 4wd providing accredited offroad training.  Out There Outback Tours was born and for a decade took many painting trips to remote areas, including spending many educational and enjoyable times at Indigenous communities' arts centres.  The Flinders and Gammon Ranges, all of Central Australia, Arnhem Land, the Pilbara and many other remote places fed my love of  outback and this exploration remains ongoing.
